Malabar Mosque and Parkview Square
Friday, June 26th, 2009After my trip to the airport this afternoon, I head over to Jalan Besar Hawker Center to solve my craving for turtle soup for lunch.
But my main purpose is not for the turtle soup, but to take a few pictures of the majestic Parkview Square which was in the vicinity. While walking by Kelantan Street, I also snap a few shots of some tombstones.

Thekchen Choling Tibetan Temple – Photos
Sunday, May 31st, 2009Just back from the Singapore Zoo with Noel and family. It’s nice to have outing with them cause I like to take photos of little Drayden. He is starting to walk more now, but still no that stable yet.
Yesterday while waiting for Noel and family for the duck tour, I decided to go to Lavender for a walk and came across this Tibetan temple.
Below is the description excerpted from Uniquely Singapore website:
Founded by Singapore-born Lama Thubten Namdrol Dorje in 2001, Thekchen Choling Singapore is a Tibetan Buddhist Temple that encompasses both the Tibetan & Chinese tradition. The temple conducts regular weekly teachings in English and Mandarin, chanting and prayer sessions. In order to realize one of the temple’s objectives to be an easily accessible place of refuge at all times of the day, Thekchen Choling is the first Tibetan Buddhist temple in Singapore to open 24 hours daily.
The main hall is available to all who seek a place of quiet, for prayers, for meditation at any time of the day. As a healing temple, Thekchen Choling also provides free TCM medical consulting service, acupuncture service and medicine two times a week in the temple. The temple’s social outreach program includes free medicine distribution, free meals and finance support, with emphasis for the poor and elderly.
Some of the highlights of Thekchen Choling Singapore are: -
- One of the biggest Mantra Wheel in Singapore, with most mantras filled (213 million mantras).
- One of the most unique lifesize Shakyamuni Buddha statue in Singapore, it is adorned with jewel ornaments as per the original traditions in Tibet and Nepal.
- The Special Thousand arm chenrizig(GuanYin) carved in Tibetan style is one of the biggest in Singapore.
- One of the biggest Guru Rinpoche(manifestation of Shakya Muni buddha) & Green Mother Tara statue in Singapore.
Here are some photos I took at the temple.

Arrrggghhh!!! The weather is making me sick!
Monday, May 18th, 2009Wonderful eh?! I mean the weather, one moment it’s bloody sunny and warm, the next moment it rains like hell. And these freakish weather has been making me sick.
Just pray that the virus inside me mutate into a new strain of virus that no bloody scientist have a vaccine for it.

Water droplets on the window pane

Rain water dripping from the laundry pole support plate

Amoxicillin, antibiotics to fight the virus and bacteria in my body

Mefenamic acid, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug used to treat pain. To stop my body ache.
But I won’t be eating a single piece of these medicine, I will let the virus inside me mutate and wipe out the human race… muhahahahahaha
